Every week in our Sunday worship on Facebook we conclude the time together by saying these words;

Peace Prayer of St Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled,
as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.

What better way to go out into the world than with these words of service on our lips. What better way to start each day with this as our goal – to be a channel for God’s peace. To serve those around us by offering Love, Hope, light and understanding.

We are living in uncertain times, which can be frightening, but we are blessed with an unchanging God. He is a God who calls us to make a spiritual response to the world through our prayers and a physical response through our words and acts of love and kindness. To offer hope to those who feel hopeless and love to those the world sees as un-loveable.

We don’t need all the answers, we just need to anchor our hope and commit each day to Him and to serving His beloved, allowing him to flow through us with every word and deed, making us a channel for his peace.

Be blessed and be a blessing
