Harvest Appeal

Trinity Church Rawdon held their 1% Harvest Appeal on Sunday 15th October to raise money for Christians against Poverty.. Staff and the owner from Turkuaz Restaurant in Rawdon kindly provided everyone who attended (approx 80 people) with a delicious Turkish breakfast which everyone enjoyed. It was a community outreach event to reach the wider community of Rawdon. The breakfast was attended by our Foodbank volunteers and families who are supported by the foodbank. Families came along from our Mums and Tots group as well as customers from Turkuaz restaurant who had been invited through the restaurant. We created a play space for young children who attended which created a lovely family atmosphere for the event. Haydn Wilson, who has led the Church in the last 18 months gave a talk on the history of the Church which goes back to 1846. Matt Chew has just taken over as Restaurant Manager at Turkuaz, has started coming to Trinity and he gave an organ recital. To-date the money raised is over £1100.
