Thought I would share what God spoke into my life today through Hebrews 3:13
But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
I wonder what world the would look like if it was our natural instinct to build each other up? If we all joined forces to help one another to succeed? If we breathed life into each other’s hopes and dreams?
How different would each day be?
How different would our lives be, our relationships our education our work ethic?
Have you ever noticed how people physically bloom when they are complimented or praised?
Have you ever noticed how much more people will do for you if you thank them, if you are kind to them or if you notice them and all they do for you?
It’s sad but the opposite is often true of human behaviour. We fear that if we build others up our own insecurities will set in. Praising others highlighting our own weakness or inability. Building others up means they will put us down.
This is the work of the enemy – he knows every trick to prevent us from partaking in kingdom work.
He knows that building the kingdom of God is about building one another up, encouraging each other taking the time to notice and say thank you.
Today I’m going to dig deeper into this scripture and ask God to help me fight my own insecurities, to put my hard hat on and start building up my brothers and sisters. Will you join me??
